Dark plans are currently afoot in Tony Abbott’s conservative (oops I meant liberal) government to abolish free GP visits. For many of us going to the GP is free. There is some insane idea that going to the doctor is somehow fun or frivolous and should be made more expensive to discourage this practice. For myself I can’t remember the last time I had fun at the GP’s office. The closest it gets to fun is finding out you are going to get better, after looking forward to whatever weird pills and potions have been prescribed.

So the hardest hit will be of course those with persistent health problems, children and the already struggling financially, i.e the type of people Jesus tried to help.

So another mean spirited, irrational and poorly thought out policy from Tony Abbott.

So if Tony Abbott is struck dead by lightning, I’ll take that as a sign God exists.
