Russian traffic enforcement experiment

Russian activists attempt to stop people driving on the sidewalk near a gas station.

Several things about this protest action are quite surprising.

1: People, with out any physical force, just the threat of shaming violators, can affect a change in behavior.

2: About half of people will change their ways when just faced with shame or minor inconvenience.

3: The most serious offenders are people who are truly obnoxious.

4: Government officials are very likely to break the rules, at 3:14 a Russian internal affairs spokesman arrives and then reverses back out again, rules are made for the government to break.
